TARA The Interactive Artbot
Tara is another of my painting robots created exclusively for the Science Museum of Lisbon (Pavilhão do Conhecimento). Like others it generates original art works based on emergent process, it decides when the work is ready and signs it.
The novelty in this case is that Tara is also interactive. Visitors can manipulate some parameters from the algorithm: more or less sensibility to color, dimension and direction of the traces and some other aspects. This new information is then sent in real-time to the robot and behavior changes can be observed.
